As an instructor, you can select a central theme for these discussions, focusing on daily habits that enhance health, such as adequate sleep, hydration, and nutritious eating. Additionally, topics can include fostering positivity through gratitude, good citizenship, and peacemaking. This approach will help cultivate a positive mindset among participants, making them more receptive to the calming nature of yoga. Allocating 5–10 minutes during the day for self-directed relaxation is also recommended. During this time, participants can participate in quiet mindfulness activities like journaling, coloring, or listening to guided meditation stories. Following these reflective practices, students will be better prepared to engage in yoga with a positive attitude. It is advisable to incorporate these activities at the start of the day or after recess, ensuring students feel refreshed and ready for meaningful reflection. Once these activities are completed, you can seamlessly introduce yoga poses and exercises to maintain a consistent practice.
