3. Upon finishing your online or onsite volunteer engagement, UCESCO Africa will provide you with an official recommendation letter & a Certificate of Appreciation/Recognition in acknowledgment of your time.
4. Our project site offers a dynamic environment where your contributions can have a significant impact. UCESCO - Africa boasts a perfect safety record, and we are committed to upholding this standard
5. The volunteering commitment is between 3-4 hours, which provides ample time for pursuing extra projects, learning new languages, or exploring the local area. You can rotate as many projects as you can

About the program

Join us in making a tangible difference in the lives of people in Nairobi's informal settlements. At UCESCO Africa, we believe that small acts of kindness can create powerful waves of change. We are inviting passionate, compassionate, and purpose-driven individuals from around the world to join our Community Service Volunteer Program in Kenya and Uganda. Whether you are a student, professional, family, or group, this is your opportunity to give back, connect with communities, and create lasting impact where it is needed most. As a Community Service Volunteer, you will have the chance to participate in a variety of meaningful activities, including: 1. Child & Youth Support. 2. 2. Walk children safely home from school. 3. Create birthday cards for children in our programs. 4. Support children during community events such as Children’s Day 5. Help distribute books and learning materials Donations & Community Drives - Organize and run donation drives - Collect and sort donations for families in need. - Support baby boutique initiatives and local shelters. - Prepare banks. Rebuild and distribute essential items Environmental & Gardening Projects - Participate in river and green space clean-ups - Plant trees, shrubs, and support landscaping projects. - Help develop and maintain school gardens that support food banks - Rebuild and maintain raised garden beds in community housing facilities . Creative & Practical Support - Make quilts and blankets for children in clinics. - Assemble first aid kits for local shelters. - Take photos and document community events. - Help drives. - Collect and create community newsletters. - Clean and prepare donated books for children Your time, skills, and compassion can transform lives.
