About the program

Are you passionate about the Italian language and eager to make a meaningful impact? Join UCESCO Africa as an Italian Language Teacher Volunteer and help children discover the beauty of Italian while expanding their global perspective. As an Italian teacher volunteer, you will work with children in local schools and community centers, introducing them to basic Italian language skills in a fun, engaging, and interactive way. Many of the children you will teach have limited access to foreign language learning, and your presence will open doors to new opportunities, confidence, and cultural awareness. Your Role as a Volunteer - Teach basic Italian vocabulary and phrases to children - Conduct interactive lessons using songs, games, and storytelling - Introduce students to Italian culture, traditions, and lifestyle - Assist local teachers in language-related activities - Encourage creativity, confidence, and participation in class - Help create simple learning materials and lesson plan You will be working with children aged 4–14 years in: - Primary schools - Early childhood development centers - Community education programs - Your support will help make learning exciting and accessible for every child.
