About the program

UCESCO seek volunteers to teach French Language to the local communities and children at primary and secondary school level in the slums and marginalized areas in Kenya.A Language Can Save a Dream. Your Voice Can Change a Life. Across communities in Kenya, thousands of bright, determined young people carry powerful dreams—dreams of dignity, meaningful work, and a future beyond poverty. They study hard. They persevere. They believe. But for many, one invisible barrier continues to hold them back: language. In a world where global opportunities are increasingly shaped by multilingual skills, the ability to speak French is no longer a luxury—it is a lifeline. It is a requirement for careers with international institutions such as the United Nations, humanitarian agencies, diplomacy, tourism, and cross-border trade. Without access to French language education, these dreams slowly fade. This is where you come in. - Talented youth are locked out of international job opportunities - Young graduates miss life-changing careers due to lack of French skills - Ambitious minds are left behind—not because they lack ability, but because they lack access - A single language gap can cost a lifetime of opportunity. As a French Language Assistant Tutor (Francophone), you are not just teaching vocabulary—you are restoring hope. You will: - Teach basic French communication skills to youth and community learners - Help students gain confidence to speak, express, and connect - Create safe, engaging, and inspiring learning environments - Mentor learners who dream of working in international spaces - Become a symbol of possibility in communities where hope is often fragile Because of you: - A young person will speak their first sentence in French—and believe in themselves - A graduate will qualify for a job they once thought impossible - A dream to work with global organizations will become achievable - A life path will change—forever Every day without access to language skills is another day a dream is delayed. - Do not let potential go unheard. - Do not let dreams remain unreachable. Stand with us. Teach French. Give youth a voice in the global world.
