About the program

Support dental care outreach in underserved communities. Assist dental professionals during community clinics, help with oral health education, and support preventive dental care programs for children and adults. Join our Dental Outreach & Oral Health Education Program in Kenya and help bring essential oral healthcare services and awareness to underserved communities. Many children and families in slums and low-income areas lack access to basic dental care, leading to preventable pain, infections, and long-term health complications. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in promoting healthy smiles while supporting local healthcare providers and transforming lives through education and care. Our Dental Outreach Program focuses on delivering preventive care, oral health education, and basic dental support to children and communities with limited access to dental services. Volunteers collaborate with **local dentists, health workers, and schools** to raise awareness about proper oral hygiene and assist in outreach clinics. -Your Role as a Volunteer Depending on your skills and experience, your activities may include: - Assisting during **dental check-ups and screenings - Students or interns who can’t rely on medical experience will learn from observing & assisting dentists on the site through; (Observing procedures, Office Administration, and Health data recording). - Professionals can be assistant dentists or do basic procedures at our dental facilities - Supporting **mobile dental clinics and outreach camps** - Teaching children proper **brushing and oral hygiene techniques** - Promoting awareness on **nutrition and dental health** - Distributing **toothbrushes, toothpaste, and hygiene kits** - Helping organize **community oral health workshops** - Supporting documentation and patient records (non-clinical volunteers) Your support will help: - Improve oral hygiene awareness in underserved communities - Reduce cases of preventable dental diseases - Build confidence and wellbeing among children - Strengthen local capacity through education and support Be the Reason Someone Smiles Your time, knowledge, and compassion can make a real difference.
