About the program

Nourish Lives. Share Skills. Create Lasting Change in Nairobi. In many communities across Nairobi, access to nutritious meals and knowledge about healthy eating remains a daily challenge. Families, children, and vulnerable groups often rely on limited resources—yet with the right guidance, simple ingredients can transform lives. We invite passionate volunteers from around the world to join us as Cook & Nutrition Assistant Volunteers, working hand-in-hand with local communities to promote healthy living, food security, and sustainable nutrition practices. As a Cook & Nutrition Assistant, you will: - Support preparation of nutritious, balanced meals for children and families - Assist in nutrition education sessions—teaching practical, affordable healthy eating habits - Work alongside local cooks and caregivers to improve **meal planning and food hygiene - Help introduce creative cooking techniques using locally available ingredients - Empower women and youth with skills they can use to sustain their families Malnutrition and poor dietary knowledge can affect children’s growth, school performance, and overall health. Your presence brings: - Hope to families striving for better health - Knowledge that creates long-term change - Dignity through shared meals and skills - A stronger, healthier community Even the smallest contribution—a recipe, a lesson, a shared meal—can ripple across generations. While making a difference, you will also experience the vibrant life of Nairobi: - Explore the breathtaking **Nairobi skyline and nature - Visit iconic places like Nairobi National Park - Engage with rich Kenyan culture, local markets, and traditions - Enjoy authentic Swahili and African cuisine - Build meaningful connections with welcoming communities This is more than a volunteer opportunity—it is a chance to **transform lives through food, knowledge, and compassion Come to Nairobi not just to see its beauty, but to become part of its story. Join us. Cook with purpose. Nourish a generation.
