About the program

Your Creativity Can Give a Voice to the Voiceless | Mombasa, Malindi & Kilifi Every day, across the coastal communities of Mombasa Malindi**, and Kilifi lives are being changed quietly. - Children are being educated. - Women are fighting to build small businesses. - Communities are working to protect their environment and survive. But there is one heartbreaking reality: Their stories are not being seen. Their voices are not being heard. - Without visibility, these programs struggle to survive. - Without exposure, funding disappears. - Without storytelling, hope fades. At UCESCO Africa, we are not just looking for a volunteer. We are looking for a storyteller. A voice. A bridge between forgotten communities and the world. As a Content Creator & Social Media Assistant**, your work will directly influence: - Whether a child gets access to education - Whether a women’s group receives funding to survive - Whether environmental programs continue or collapse Your camera, your words, your creativity — they are tools of impact. We are doing life-changing work on the ground, but we lack the digital power to reach the world. - Our stories remain unseen - Our social media lacks consistency and strategy - Potential donors never discover us - Volunteers who could help never hear about us This is not just a gap — it is a barrier to survival. We urgently need passionate individuals who can: - Capture real, raw, human stories - Create powerful social media content that moves people to act- - Build an online presence that attracts donors and global support - Turn everyday moments into meaningful digital campaigns You will: - Document real community impact through photos, videos, and storytelling - Manage and grow our social media platforms - Create emotional and engaging campaigns that inspire action - Support fundraising efforts through digital content - Share volunteer journeys and community transformations This is not about posting content. This is about telling stories that can change lives. Even as you give, you will grow: - Real-world experience in NGO communications and digital marketing - A powerful portfolio with meaningful, purpose-driven content - Recommendation and appreciation certificates - Exposure to grassroots humanitarian work - A global network of change-makers But more importantly— You will leave knowing that your work mattered. While making impact, you will also experience the breathtaking beauty of Kenya’s coast: - Walk along the shores of the Indian Ocean - Discover the rich culture of Old Town Mombasa - Experience the warmth of Swahili hospitality - Taste authentic coastal cuisine A place of beauty… alongside a reality that needs your voice. If no one tells these stories: - Programs will struggle to continue - Communities will lose opportunities - Voices will remain unheard Doing nothing is not neutral — it has consequences. Be the Difference Stand up. Speak out. Create impact. Join us as a Content Creator & Social Media Assistant Volunteer and help us bring visibility, dignity, and opportunity to communities that need it most. Apply today. Because their story deserves to be told.
